Comparison of the Speed-Torque Characteristics of an Induction Motor with Parameters Obtained by a Genetic Algorithm and an Experimental Method

In the study is presented an approach for determining the parameters of the T-shaped equivalent circuit of an induction motor using a genetic algorithm. For the aims of the study are used experimental data for three different loads of the motor. Through synthesized virtual stand in Matlab program environment are obtained data for building the mechanical characteristics of the studied induction motor. The mechanical characteristics obtained through analytical method are compared. One of them are obtained at engine parameters determined by experiment and the others – through GA.
