The Application of Computer Simulation Technology in Sociological Research: A Case Study of Urban Development Models

Human cluster activity is the fundamental driving force of urban renewal and evolution, and a mutually beneficial symbiotic system is formed between cities and their occupants through interaction and mutual influence. Through computer simulation of the flow of people in a specific scene, the rationality of urban space is explored from the bottom up, and a more effective design scheme is obtained. Compared with other bottom-up simulation methods, the "social force model" focuses on the object of "people" itself, quantifies the movement of people and the interaction between them into specific values, and finds the activity law of people more accurately. This time, taking the urban development model design as an example, after the completion of the preliminary scheme design, through the simulation and analysis of pedestrian activities in the site, the unreasonable design is found and improved. The modified simulation results show that the crowd activities in the final scheme are more in line with the needs of urban development.
