AgriDryTech: Development of an Automated System for Rice Drying and Storage

Climate change has been of one the challenges that Filipino farmers facing over the last years. It creates a problematic scenario in the field of agriculture in the entire country and the world. Considering this major problem the researchers proposed an automated storage system for rice drying and storage with controlled temperature and humidity. This proposed research will help farmers efficiently dry rice without concerns about weather conditions or pests affecting quality. This approach also aligns with Sustainable Development Goals 1: No Poverty, 2: Zero Hunger, 9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure, and 12: Responsible Consumption and Production. The study utilized ISO 9126 to determine the acceptability and quality of the project. Functionality and Reliability scored 4.00 indicating that the machine meet its intended purpose without failure. Usability scored 3.80 indicating that the machine is user friendly and intuitive. Efficiency scored 3.80 indicating that the machine can complete tasks effectively. Maintainability and potability scored 3.80 and 3.60 showing the adaptability and ease of upkeep. Overall, these results indicate the machine's practicality and sustainability for agricultural applications.
