Study on the Influence of Strong Background Magnetic Field on Hall Current Sensors and Mitigating Strategies

Current sensors based on the Hall effect principle have been widely used in various fields such as industry and scientific research. However, the susceptibility of Hall chips to external magnetic field interference significantly compromises measurement accuracy, potentially resulting in sensor detection failures under severe conditions. Consequently, this article first establishes an analytical model for Hall current sensors (HCSs) operating within strong magnetic environments, examines the interference mechanisms affecting these sensors, and proposes an innovative structural design for enhanced performance. Finally, experimental results demonstrate that the newly developed HCS exhibits robust anti-interference capabilities and substantially enhances measurement accuracy in the presence of strong magnetic disturbances.
