Development of a Self-Navigating Sprayer for Controlled Pesticide Application

Development of a self-navigating smart sprayer designed for controlled pesticide application in agricultural fields. This system utilizes an ESP32 microcontroller to manage the movement of the sprayer using four-wheel motors, controlled through an L293D motor driver IC, enabling precise forward, backward, left, and right motion. A PSI motor is integrated into the system to control the spraying mechanism, with the ability to turn the pesticide flow on and off based on real-time requirements. For enhanced operational efficiency and visualization, the ESP32 CAM module is employed to provide live streaming and remote monitoring capabilities, allowing for better navigation and decision-making. The system is powered by a solar panel, offering a sustainable, eco-friendly solution for autonomous operation in outdoor environments. The combination of these technologies ensures that the sprayer can autonomously navigate the field while applying pesticides accurately and efficiently, thereby minimizing waste, reducing environmental impact, and promoting more sustainable agricultural practices. Experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of the self-navigating sprayer in real-world scenarios, validating its potential for broad adoption in precision agriculture.
