Students' views on the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT analysis) when using e-learning platforms

In the era of widespread information technology, technology is applied to many fields, especially in education; the teaching form and learning methods of university students are of interest. Since then, e-learning platforms have been widely deployed and developed. This is an effective and diverse form of learning that helps students and learners acquire knowledge effectively but still be flexible with other jobs. In addition, many universities also link with these platforms to create a second learning environment, helping students better grasp the knowledge at school and learn new knowledge. For example, at FPT University, the school has provided free accounts for students to use the online learning platform Coursera to access knowledge through courses from many other universities in the world. In addition, the school also developed and deployed the eduNext system, which allows lecturers and students to interact online to quickly assess the learning ability of each individual student. The study aims to identify the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT analysis) in the use of e-learning platforms. The study surveyed 110 students and conducted in-depth interviews with 10 of them to learn their views on the four factors mentioned when using online learning platforms.
