Experimental Study on the Nozzle Shape Detection of Hall Thruster

Hall thruster is an important spacecraft electric propulsion device, and its nozzle shape is affected by the high and low working intensity, so the detection of nozzle shape is of great significance to the Hall thruster. Aiming at the problem of incomplete detection information of existing contact detection methods for Hall thrusters, this paper uses a contactless detection method based on binocular structured light to establish a three-dimensional point cloud model of the Hall thruster nozzle. Through the three types of point cloud models with known shape features and the point cloud of the Hall thruster test workpiece, combined with the point cloud processing method, feature extraction and fitting experiments are carried out on the Hall thruster nozzle shape. The experimental results show that the detection error of this paper is less than 50 μm, which can effectively indicate the characteristics of the Hall thruster nozzle shape.
