Lightweight Encryption Scheme for Secure File Exchange in IoT Environment

When two or more companies communicate information, security is their top priority. IoT devices enable smooth data interchange and interaction across smart devices, ushering in a new age of connectivity. Because most IoT devices have restricted resources, implementing good safety protocols is challenging. Lightweight Cryptography (LWC) approaches to connected devices are essential, as the research shows. This project aims to create and test lightweight encryption algorithms and methods for IoT devices’ limited memory, computing capacity, and sources of electricity. The study starts with a detailed investigation of cryptography protocols and their relevance to IoT contexts, stressing protection and energy-saving trade-offs. Next, the study designs and optimizes compact cryptographic basics for optimal security and speed. Novel methods that reduce computing overhead yet preserve IoT information security and secrecy are prioritized. The study also examines how lightweight cryptographic systems may be used to medical care, intelligent houses, and factories as IoT applications. focused on 3-D printing, LWC is used in IoT devices. LWC in 3-D printing aligns strategically with changing technology. LWC is vital to 3-D printing, an emerging trend. More work involves using altered PRESENT and altered Internet of Things GIFT. For 3-D printer STL files, improved PRESENT and GIFT algorithms are evaluated. Improved algorithms perform well in limited resources IoT environments. This instance shows LWC’s adaptability and meaning in the latest developments, proving its value in protecting electronically stored data within the constantly evolving and interdependent arrangement of IoT gadgets connected to 3-D printing. Using the proposed model, the Modified PRESENT technique is able to attain the maximum performance in terms of both energy efficiency 95.12% and throughput 96.35%.
