Analysis of Magneto-Thermal Performance of Motor for Fuel Cell Air Compressor

The air compressor drive motor for fuel cell is studied. The electromagnetic-thermal two-way coupling analysis of the motor is carried out by using the equivalent thermal network method. The temperature rise of the motor at different speeds and the temperature effect of the material are calculated. The results show that the basic copper loss of the armature winding increases by $17.6 \%$, the additional copper loss of conductor is reduced by $15.0 \%$, and the stator core loss decreases by $2.8 \%$. The total loss of the motor increased by 13.6 W. Without changing the cooling scheme, the lifting speed control strategy produces a weak magnetic speed rise, and the motor winding reaches the temperature rise limit at $120000 \mathrm{r} \cdot \mathrm{min}^{-1}$. The prototype was made and the relevant experiments were carried out under laboratory conditions. The test results show that the motor temperature obtained by the test is 393 K, and the simulation results under this condition are very close to 396 K, which verifies the reliability and accuracy of the simulation results.
