A dielectric gratings antenna operating at K/sub a/-band

Results on a new dielectric gratings antenna operating at K/sub a/-band are presented. The antenna is composed of a grounded dielectric slab (/spl epsiv//sub f/=9.8) and dielectric gratings (/spl epsiv//sub g//spl cong/30). The analysis procedure is described. The antenna is fabricated and measured and good agreement between the analytical and measured results is obtained.
