Design and Implement a Low Power Wireless Sensor Node Using CMOS Technology

This paper focuses on the design and integration of low-power wireless sensor node in CMOS technology for effective energy-constrained wireless sensor networks (WSNs). Subsequently, the design brings into focus low power subsystems another aspects like sensor, micro controller as well as communication module for accurate data transfer with low power utilization. The sensor node consumes less than 1 mW during active mode of operation and in the sleep mode, it uses micro watts. This is a simulation and optimization methodology which is based on the use of MATLAB mainly for efficiency in comparison and has shown a notable efficiency in the current developments in sensors. Consequently, CMOS technology is effective in increasing the longevity of sensor nodes particularly those that are used in remote and low energy zones. The approaches of the energy harvesting and battery life enhancement effectively contributes even more to the sustainability of the proposed scheme.
