Analysis of Problems and Improvements in Zero-IF Radio Receiver Technology

This paper focuses on two critical challenges in Zero-IF (Zero Intermediate Frequency) radio receiver technology—DC offset and I/Q imbalance—and conducts a comparative analysis of existing solutions from three perspectives: RF signal processing algorithms, circuit component design optimization, and applications of photonics and quantum technologies. Based on this analysis, we propose systematic improvement strategies and outline key directions for future technological advancements in Zero-IF receiver systems.
