Research on Task Offloading Strategy Based on SCA Algorithm

The task offloading strategy based on MEC (Mobile Edge Computing) aims to minimize the system latency through a reasonable offloading method in order to enhance the user experience. Firstly, to address the problem of limited computing and communication resources of IoT devices, we proposed to partially offload user tasks to edge servers, and a three-layer network model is established, which combines the collaborative computation of macro-base stations and micro-base stations; secondly, a two-times task offloading strategy is proposed by using the SCA (Successive Convex Approximation) algorithm; and finally, according to different by step-by-step iterative optimization of the objective function, optimizing the parameters such as offloading rate, computational resource allocation and bandwidth allocation, which significantly reduces the total system delay.
