Evolving Tactics in Social Engineering Attacks in the Current Era: A Multi-Platform Honeypot Approach for Awareness and Defense

Social engineering attacks have become a common concern in the cybersecurity field, leveraging human psychology to steal sensitive information. Traditional honeypots, which are intended to entice and analyze attackers, have historically concentrated on technical exploits and network-based attacks. However, the dynamic nature of social engineering necessitates a more adaptable and flexible approach. This project describes a multi-platform social engineering honeypot that may function on a variety of social media, communication platforms, and web services. The honeypot's goal is to attract and analyze real-time social engineering attempts by simulating actual user behaviors and interactions.
