Smart Hostel Booking System for Efficient Room Allocation and Management

In many parts of the world, and especially in countries like India, students and job seekers struggle to find the hostels that best suit them while relocating to a different city or a town. This paper seeks to address these concerns through the introduction of a new concept of online hostel marketplace that enhances both hostel search as well as hostel listing. Based on in depth examination of manual and web based hoarding searching methods, we modeled a software framework based on modern frameworks such as geo-location, Google Maps API, AI, and speech recognition API. This paper further confirms a survey previously conducted in India on potential hostel seekers indicating their preference for online methods to manual ones and the need for digital platforms. These results exhibited how faster and better hostel locating strategies impacted the growth of the hospitality sector. In this regard, the aim of the proposed online hostel marketplace was to attract a wide range of potential users searching for hostels while looking at the possible factors of design and structure modeling. In subsequent studies, there will be an attempt to increase other resource characteristics of the platform and the convenience of its use by users.
