Research on the Evolutionary of Public Opinion Influenced by Dual Layer Opinions

[Background] The Internet has brought the world closer, but it is also increasingly common for unscrupulous elements to use the Internet to create rumors. Most of the existing studies on online public opinion are based on either the disease transmission model or the opinion dynamics model, with fewer studies combining the two. [Purpose] The purpose of this paper is to optimize the SIR disease propagation model and DeGroot opinion dynamics model, and to explore the effects of environment and personal opinions on propagation. [Methods] By introducing infected neighbor nodes in the SIR model, adjusting the opinion giving method in the DeGroot model, and adding the noise factor of the external environment. [Results] The application of the optimized model to the “Yueqing Incident” shows that the optimized model better fits the actual communication process. The influence of the external environment should be taken into account in the dissemination of online public opinion, and effective intervention measures should be formulated to improve the management effect.
