Bio Secure Authentication Framework

This paper presents a secure and efficient Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) system designed for payment applications, addressing vulnerabilities associated with traditional single-factor authentication methods. The proposed system combines minutiae-based fingerprint recognition and the Viola-Jones facial recognition algorithm to enhance authentication. Firebase is utilized as the backend for managing user credentials, session handling, and secure storage, ensuring scalability and reliability. By integrating biometric authentication with traditional security measures, such as passwords, the system adopts a layered approach to protect sensitive financial transactions against phishing, credential theft, replay attacks, and bruteforce attempts. The solution is cross-platform compatible, providing seamless and secure access on both Android and iOS devices. It adheres to industry standards, incorporating AES-256 encryption and secure socket layer (SSL) communication for data confidentiality and integrity. This MFA system enhances security while maintaining a user-friendly experience, offering a comprehensive solution for safeguarding financial transactions and user accounts.
