An Intelligent System for Coaching Oriental Ink Painting Brush Skills Using Wii Remote and HMM: Design, Experiment, and Analysis

This paper presents an intelligent system designed to teach brush manipulation skills in Oriental ink painting. By utilizing the motion sensors of the Wii Remote along with Hidden Markov Model (HMM) technology, the system provides real-time guidance and feedback to learners. A series of experiments comparing this digital approach with traditional learning methods demonstrates the system's effectiveness in enhancing students' brush skills and improving their overall learning experience. This innovative solution offers a new way to teach ink painting.
