Equivalent Implementation of ZVS-SVM with Carrier-Based PWM Scheme

To simplify the PWM generation process of softswitching three-phase inverters, equivalent implementation of zero-voltage-switching space-vector-modulation (ZVS-SVM) with carrier-based PWM scheme is proposed in this paper. The working principles of the traditional ZVS-SVM are firstly reviewed. Carrier and modulation signals are then analyzed and derived to generate the same PWM signals as ZVS-SVM. The compensation method is also introduced to eliminate the effects of zero voltage notches of the bus voltage. Experimental results are provided to verify the proposed method.
