Three-Vector Model Predictive Thrust Control of Linear Flux Switching Permanent Magnet Motor with Load Force Observer

This paper focuses on the three-vector model predictive thrust control(TV-MPTC) of linear flux switching permanent magnet(LFSPM) motor with load force observer. First, the model of LFSPM motor and the new TV-MPTC algorithm will be presented. The new algorithm not only reduces thrust fluctuations, but also optimises the vector selection method. After that, the slip mold observer(SMO) will be presented in order to attenuate the effect of load disturbances on the motor performance. Finally, the results obtained from the SMO will be compensated by feed-forward to improve the robustness of the system.
