Sustainable Computing for Future-Ready Engagement: Integrating Green Technologies and Gamification in Digital Ecosystems

The concept of gamification has gained significant traction in recent years to foster active participation within online communities. Establishing a thriving online community requires strategies to encourage frequent contributions of high-quality content from its members. This article explores the application of a gamification framework in developing an online community designed to support welfare recipients in their transition to employment. The initiative was implemented through a collaborative effort between a government agency and the online community. Beyond enhancing user engagement, the integration of badge-based gamification enables an in-depth analysis of individual contributions within the community. This study presents the initial findings from our online platform, highlighting the impact of gamification on participation and content quality.
