Design and Research of Intelligent Traffic Light Control System

With the acceleration of urbanization and the surge in the number of motor vehicles, traditional traffic signal control systems face bottlenecks such as low traffic efficiency, high energy consumption, and insufficient incident response service. To solve these problems, this paper designs and implements a system for intelligent traffic signal control based on the STM32 microcontroller. The system adopts a modular architecture, uses STM32 as the core controller, and integrates multi-sensor fusion and intelligent strategies to achieve dynamic traffic management. This system significantly improves traffic efficiency and energy utilization at intersections and also has the ability to provide fire incident response service and real-time monitoring of equipment status. In the future, the stability of the system in extreme scenarios can be further improved by integrating multi-source detection technology. The research results provide theoretical and practical reference for the optimization and promotion of intelligent transportation systems.
