Comparison of wavelet-based codes with linear cyclic codes

Error-correcting codes, such as classical BCH codes, are widely used in noisy channels, but emerging wavelet-based approaches offer adaptive alternatives. This article compares linear codes constructed via wavelet signal decomposition with BCH codes, analyzing their theoretical foundations: generator matrix design, syndrome decoding for BCH, and wavelet adaptation for code generation.The results show that wavelet codes achieve error correction comparable to BCH codes, while their hybrid integration retains the strengths of both methods. This validates wavelet-based codes as a viable alternative to algebraic codes, particularly in scenarios requiring flexibility or computational efficiency.
