Two-element MIMO Antenna Design for 5G Communication Applications

This paper presents a Two Port MIMO antenna for 5G communication applications. The presented consisted of two monopole elements, each measuring 11.5 mm×9.5 mm. An optimal study has been taken into consideration in order to lessen the effect that one antenna element generally has on other. A stub has been inserted into the ground plane of the planned MIMO in order to reduce isolation among the ports. Using the HFSS software, a MIMO system for Fifth-generation wireless applications was put into practice. The deigned MIMO antenna's S11 value was measured with isolation levels below -10 dB, at the resonance frequency of 26 GHz, and a 4 GHz bandwidth (24.036 GHz to 28.075 GHz). In terms of gain, isolation, radiation pattern, and impedance bandwidth, the suggested MIMO antenna performs well. The suggested MIMO antenna presents a strong contender for 5G millimeter-wave applications.
