60° Coordinate System-Based SVPWM Algorithm for ANPC Inverters

For the active neutral-point-clamped three-level inverter, the traditional space vector pulse width modulation (SVPWM) algorithm requires a large number of trigonometric function operations when performing sector judgment and vector action time calculation. This increases the computational burden on the controller and leads to problems such as complex software programming and low execution efficiency. To address this issue, this paper studies an SVPWM algorithm based on the 60° coordinate system. By transforming the space voltage vectors from the rectangular coordinate system to the 60° coordinate system, this method simplifies the operation process and avoids a large number of trigonometric function operations. To verify the effectiveness and feasibility of the algorithm, a simulation platform is built in this paper. The results show that this method is indeed feasible.
