Development of Parametric Part 3D Model Library Based on CATIA

To address the challenges of inefficient repetitive modeling and difficulties in parametric management in the design of aeronautical composite components, this study proposes a parametric 3D model library construction method based on CATIA secondary development. By deeply integrating dimension-driven parametric modeling technology with CATIA's native design table functionality, the system was developed using C++ and the Component Application Architecture (CAA) framework, achieving a bidirectional real-time synchronization mechanism between model parameters and design tables. The system innovatively employs MD5 hash mapping technology to establish dynamic associations between parameter identifiers and design table rows, while the CATIDesignTable interface enables intelligent retrieval of parameter combinations and version control. Compared to traditional external parametric solutions, this system effectively mitigates data synchronization risks through embedded design table management, while improving parameter matching efficiency. Practical applications demonstrate that the model library significantly reduces the modeling cycle of standard components, supports dynamic expansion of parameter combinations, and enables cascading updates of geometric constraints, making it particularly suitable for rapid iterative design of aeronautical composite structural components.
