PUF Authentication and Privacy Protection Method for Smart Meter Two-Way Communication System for Shared Electricity Use

As ICT rapidly advances, the expanding shared electricity market reduces user costs but introduces security challenges like data tampering, leaks, and high communication overhead in smart meter-grid interactions. This paper proposes a PUF-based lightweight authentication scheme that establishes secure communication networks for electricity data collection, ensuring both identity verification and privacy protection. Simulation results demonstrate its effectiveness in meeting security requirements while maintaining operational efficiency, showing significant practical value for shared energy systems.
