Polarization-independent Optical-carrier-distribution Scheme for Metro-access Converged DC Interconnects

A novel optical-carrier-distribution scheme with which dual sub-carriers are externally distributed to a coherent transceiver consisting of an EA modulator and dual-polarization diversity heterodyne receiver is proposed. Its polarization-independent characteristics were demonstrated through transmission experiments.
