Mitigation of Power Offset Induced by Hard-Decision-Error in Fiber Longitudinal Power Profile Estimation

We propose a fiber-nonlinearity distribution weighting-based scheme to mitigate the power offset induced by hard-decision (HD) error in least-square PPE. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method is as accurate as using transmitter-side (Tx) data.
