Integrated Reconstructive Spectrometer with Dispersion-engineered Components

We describe a design of chip-scale near-infrared reconstructive spectrometer that operates towards $\gt1000 \mathrm{~nm}$ wavelength range, with dispersion-engineered ring-resonators. A 500 nm -bandwidth on-chip spectrometer is demonstrated with 10 pm resolution, setting up a new record in bandwidth-to-resolution ratio.
