In-service Monitor and Pre-compensation of 100 Gbaudclass Coherent Transmitter by a 5 GHz Photodetector

We experimentally verify that the inherent imperfection of a 100 Gbaud-class coherent transmitter can be accurately monitored and pre-compensated in the background merely by a single photodetector of 5 GHz -bandwidth based on error backpropagation scheme.
