7-source×6-mode Micro-Scale Photonic Lantern Multiplexer 3D-Printed on MM VCSEL Array

We design, fabricate, and characterize a $300 \mu \mathrm{~m}$ long 3D-printed photonic lantern mode multiplexer spanning $7 \times 6=42$ modes and demonstrate efficient power combining from a dense multimode VCSEL source array.
