Eigenstructure assignment by output feedback and residue analysis

This note deals with the use of feedback to approximate the closed-loop eigenstructure of a system to a prescribed set of values. A new method is proposed to reduce the controller complexity, based on eigenvalue sensitivity concepts. A flight control example is presented as an application.
