PCB Pre-layout Judgment Method Based on Multiple Linear Regression Model

To reduce the occurrence of iteration in PCB design and ensure the smooth progress of project schedule with sufficient design time, a PCB pre layout determination method based on multiple linear regression model is designed. In PCB design, there are different forms of device packaging, which can be divided into six categories based on the different manifestations of device packaging. Then, according to the design software, the actual PCB wiring area is obtained. Six typical PCB boards are selected as samples, and the model between the actual PCB wiring area and various device areas is established by using multiple linear regression equations. Next, according to the actual layout, the rationality of the model is verified from three aspects: DRC report, signal integrity and power integrity. The design is easy to implement, which greatly reduces the PCB pre-layout time and promotes the actual PCB design.
