Simulation and prediction analysis of cable electromagnetic compatibility

In this paper, in order to solve the problem of radiation emission from high-power magnet power cables for pulse operation in particle accelerators, the diode magnet cables in the enhancer (BRing) of the strong-flow heavy-ion accelerator (HIAF) are used as research objects. Due to the limited space of the radiation cable in the accelerator tunnel, the simulation prediction means focuses on the electromagnetic interference (EMI) propagation mechanism and its suppression method of the high-power cable in the fast pulse operation mode, aiming at solving the beam current diagnostic error and equipment stability problems caused by the radiation emission from the cable in the accelerator system.
