Degradation and State of Health Estimation of Lithium-Ion Batteries Under Different Cycling Conditions

The characteristics of lithium-ion battery degradation under various cycling circumstances are studied in this paper. Fourteen groups of PL series batteries were used.the charging/discharging parameters and temperature were modified to examine how state of charge (SOC) cycling affects battery state of health (SOH). A SOC - V curve model based on a first-order equivalent circuit was established, and the influence of the model order on the fitting accuracy was analyzed. By using the charging and discharging IC/DV curves to estimate the battery, the characteristic points were extracted and their changes were examined, together with evaluating the applicability of both physical and web-based techniques.
