Error Analysis of Power System Simulation Based on Shifted- Frequency Electromagnetic Transient Model

The “dual-high” attributes of modern power systems place more stringent demands on the precision and effectiveness of electromagnetic transient simulations. The shifted-frequency electromagnetic transient simulation approach offers the advantage of larger time steps while maintaining accuracy, thereby significantly enhancing computational efficiency. How-ever, methodologies for error analysis specifically tailored to the shifted-frequency electromagnetic transient model are still underdeveloped. This paper introduces a novel error analysis technique for power system simulation grounded in the shifted-frequency electromagnetic transient model. It leverages port impedance characteristics to conduct error analysis and inves-tigates the impact of both shifted frequency and time step on simulation accuracy, making it well-suited for multi-partition hybrid simulation contexts. Finally, a case study is presented to demonstrate that the proposed method can offer a sound basis for parameter selection.
