A Liquid Damper Device for Suppressing the Effect of Wind Dance on Transmission Lines

Transmission lines are susceptible to vibrations during outdoor work due to wind or other natural environments. This accelerates the generation of defects affecting work efficiency and causes discharges and cracks in severe cases. In this paper, a new liquid damper device is designed to inhibit the wind-dancing effect of transmission lines, reducing the potential hazards for futher. By utilizing the combination of spacer bars and liquid devices, the functionality and effectiveness of the existing devices against wind dance is greatly enhanced. Through the analysis of multiple parameters, the performance of the liquid damper is assessed, thereby establishing the basis for industrial implementation and ensuring the safe and reliable operation of transmission lines.
