Barrier Lyapunov Function-Based Prescribed-Time Cooperative Guidance Law With Field-of-View Constraint

This study proposes a prescribed-time cooperative guidance law for intercepting a maneuvering target under the field-of-view (FOV) constraint within the line-of-sight (LOS) frame. In the LOS direction, the system state variable is characterized by the error between the missile’s attack time and its desired value, which is obtained from a distributed prescribed-time consensus protocol. In the normal LOS direction, the FOV constraint is converted into the LOS angular rate constraint, and the LOS angle and angular rate are chosen as state variables. Consequently, the normal LOS guidance law is designed, integrating the barrier Lyapunov function (BLF), prescribed-time control, and sliding mode control. Unknown target accelerations are modeled as disturbances and estimated by the prescribed-time extended state observer (PTESO). The stability of the BLF-based cooperative guidance law and its effectiveness, superiority, and robustness are validated through comparative simulation and a Monte Carlo test under a realistic missile model.
