Packaging and Integration of Multifunctional Brain Computer Interface

This work introduces a novel approach to packaging multifunctional neural probes and integrating them into a compact supporting system. Using microfabrication techniques, we package electrodes, microfluidic channels, and optical waveguide. The neural probe is then interfaced with a system comprising a data acquisition chip, micropump, drivers, and an optogenetics light source. This fully integrated, tetherless platform enables versatile neural interrogation and stimulation in animal models, thereby enhancing the flexibility and precision of the tools for neuroscience research.
