Multi-Objective Production Planning and Scheduling Problem in a Hybrid Manufacturing and Remanufacturing System

This study addresses a production planning problem whith scheduling problem within a hybrid manufacturingremanufacturing system (HMRS) that uses raw materials to produce new products and used returned products to produce remanufactured products. The system operates under deterministic demand for both new and remanufactured products, deterministic quality and quantity of returned products. Our objective is to determine the optimal production planning strategy under these conditions to optimize economic costs, including production, storage, disposal, set-up, and maintenance costs, as well as environmental costs are represented by the $C O_{2}$ emissions generated by new products, remanufactured products, and disposed products. To solve this problem, we develop a heuristic that combines production planning with scheduling. A numerical experiment is conducted to validate the effectiveness of this heuristic.
