Secure E-Voting with Blockchain: Enhancing AES and RSA Encryption with Face Authentication Technology

The use of electronic voting systems depends on three essential factors: anonymity, transparency and security for achieving reliability. The research presents a blockchain-enabled electronic voting system which combines Exonum platform together with AES/RSA encryption and face identification mechanisms for improved security features. The distributed structure combined with evidence of tampering that defines Blockchain enables solutions to the weaknesses found in conventional voting systems. The system uses AES encryption for vote encryption together with RSA encryption for key security and maintains permissioned blockchain transparency for transaction recording. The usage of OpenCV for face authentication serves to authentify voters and deny unauthorized access alongside BFT consensus for maintaining data integrity and vote validation. This web-based prototype shows how an application can provide secure voter registration combined with confidentiality protection and transparency. The research establishes blockchain potential in elections despite showing that it requires enhanced scalability and multi-factor authentication capabilities.
