A Simple Implementation of a Hybrid Digital-Analog Verification Platform

With the increasing complexity of electronic systems, the design and verification of digital-analog hybrid chips are facing unprecedented challenges. Traditional hybrid digitalanalog verification methods suffer from problems such as slow simulation speed and simulation distortion, and the verification process usually occupies about 70 % of the chip development, which greatly affects the R&D progress. To solve these problems, this paper proposes a hybrid digital-analog chip verification platform based on GPU acceleration. The platform combines VCS and Primesim joint simulation tools to integrate the simulation of analog and digital signals on the same platform through an efficient interface synergy mechanism, thus avoiding the problems in traditional simulation methods. Utilizing GPU acceleration technology, the simulation efficiency is significantly improved, especially in large-scale simulation and complex scenarios, which can significantly shorten the simulation time and improve the verification accuracy. In addition, the platform ensures that the digital part verification coverage reaches 100 % through boundary detection technology, and can ensure that the functional coverage meets the design requirements under extreme environments. The modular design makes the platform highly flexible, which can adapt to different test requirements and provide convenient interfaces to optimize the verification process. Through this platform, verification efficiency is improved and the risk of error is reduced, providing strong technical support for the mass production of chips.
