Binocular Endoscopic Video Processing and Camera Calibration Optimization for 3D Reconstruction

This paper investigates the video processing and camera calibration optimization for 3D reconstruction in binocular endoscopy for kidney surgery. The study improves the camera calibration process by evaluating reprojection errors and 3D reconstruction results, removing high-error calibration images, and enhancing the accuracy of binocular endoscopy 3D reconstruction. The optimized calibration parameters reduce the average reprojection error from 0.184 to 0.057 and significantly improve 3D reconstruction accuracy, providing reliable support for medical diagnosis and surgical navigation.
