Open Source FPGA Toolchain Extensions and Custom Development

As the complexity of integrated circuit design increases, field-programmable gate arrays (FPGAs) are playing an important role in a variety of areas, including data centers, network communications, and artificial intelligence. However, today's commercial FPGA EDA tools are usually only for specific models and lack versatility. Although the direct use of open source EDA tools provides an alternative for the development of domestic FPGA, there are still problems such as user experience, software adaptability and adaptability. Therefore, our team developed an FPGA EDA software capable of programming the FPGA by leveraging the Qt development framework, integrating open-source toolchains, and designing an EDA integrated development environment. This project effectively addresses the limitations of existing tools in terms of adaptability and user experience, thereby promoting the popularization and development of FPGA development tools.
