Fault Detection of Switched Systems Based on Extended Dissipativity With Hybrid Supply Rate

A fault detection scheme for switched discrete-time systems is set up by using extended dissipativity theory. It is not necessary to detect all faults due to the dissipativity properties will change when certain faults occur. This can lead to less complexity of the fault detection process and generalize the existing results. Moreover, based on the output measurements, a proper output-dependent switching rule is designed. Then, the correlative scheme of detecting fault is established in the light of the extended dissipativity inequalities under the designed switching rule. The research findings of the article can be seen as an expansion of existing ones since the extended dissipativity of this article is used to detect fault, and the extended dissipativity for individual subsystems is not required. A simulation example shows the validity of the provided results.
