Design and Analysis of Induction Coil Magnetometer with Analog Integrator Circuit for Frequencies up to 200 kHz

The output signal of an induction coil sensor depends on the derivative of the measured value. A system consisting of the induction coil and an integrator can be used to restore the original signal. In this paper a magnetometer based on this principle is presented. The integrator circuit consisted of OP177G operational amplifier is analyzed, based on the concept of inverse passive RC differentiator and built-in low frequency stability. The integrator and induction coil characteristics are simulated in LTspice and Ansys Maxwell simulation software, and validated with measurements. The fabricated magnetometer is calibrated in the frequency range from 10 to 200 kHz.
