A New Visible Light Communication Receiver Combining Two Organic Photovoltaic Cells

In a context of visible light communication, we propose to improve the performance of an organic photovoltaic (OPV) cell used as a data receiver applying an external reverse bias voltage. Specifically, we demonstrate that, with another larger OPV acting as an external bias source, both the gain-bandwidth product and the signal-to-noise ratio increase significantly.
