Solution to the Problem of Finding the Smallest Radius of Coverage of an Irregular Ellipse for the Problem of Calculating the Volume of Oil-Containing Impurities

Environmental monitoring is an important task for preventing pollution of rivers and water bodies. Existing technical means of environmental control and monitoring allow avoiding or preventing environmental tricks, in particular rivers or water bodies. However, the use of modern technologies requires the preparation of a certain infrastructure, as well as certain means and computing resources. The above requirements limit the use of such technologies, and therefore simplify or completely remove control in the most unprepared places. Among such technologies, special sensors can be distinguished. Control sensors mounted pipes and special structures allow detecting a leak or the presence of oil, but existing sensor models are expensive to operate due to the use of a large amount of computing power. The use of simplified technologies leads to calculation errors due to the use of an ellipse model in the calculation algorithm, as well as a complete enumeration method, which increases the calculation time.
