How to Incorporate "Narrative Elements" into Product Design to Meet Everyday Popular : A Case Study of Tianjin Goubuli Steamed Buns

Starting from the perspective of product and marketing personification, this study utilizes Maslow's "motivation" theory and Jung's "archetype" theory to analyze the personification of popular brands in the market. By integrating personified IP design with the narrative elements of the Goubuli steamed buns story, it seeks to explore the relationship between product sales and consumers' sense of belonging. The study primarily employs Maslow's "motivation" theory to analyze various aspects, including brand IP archetypes, the personification process, brand image, image transformation, and brand assets. Through the analysis of personification techniques applied to existing IP images, the study identifies the demand for product and marketing personification. This provides a reference for designing "narrative" elements to meet the everyday needs of Generation Z youth. Additionally, the study designs the personification of the Tianjin Goubuli steamed buns IP, creating a personified IP based on the "narrative" aspects of contemporary youth life. This approach offers a reference for fostering empathy through "narrative stories" within Tianjin's traditional culture.
